Clean The World and Green Key Global recently teamed up for a partnership that will promote soap recycling to hotels in Canada and beyond. The partnership will encourage Green Key Global members to collect and recycle hotel soap and bottled amenities that help fight the spread of preventable diseases.
Green Key Global is a leading environmental certification body with a suite of industry-standard programs and resources designed specifically for the lodging and meetings industries. Its affordable programs help members leverage organizational CSR activities to support sustainable initiatives, and improve overall fiscal performance and community relations.
“Since 2009, Clean the World has distributed more than 25 million bars of soap and nearly 700,000 hygiene kits,” says Clean the World founder and CEO Shawn Seipler. “The exciting partnership with Green Key provides an opportunity to help even more people by introducing hotels to our soap and bottled amenity recycling program.”
Green Key Global managing director Tony Pollard says the partnership complements his organization’s existing sustainability programs.
“Green Key Global is thrilled to be partnering with Clean the World in the promotion of soap recycling to hoteliers,” says Tony Pollard, Green Key Global managing director. “This partnership once again demonstrates Green Key’s commitment to providing hoteliers with sustainable and socially responsible choices.”
