Thank goodness for solid partnerships. Sysco Guest Supply stepped up to help Clean the World process soaps to fulfill a World Vision delivery of soaps that will be distributed worldwide.
Guest Supply generously provided multiple shifts of workers at its New Jersey soap processing facility to press more than 29,000 lbs. of soap provided by Clean the World’s hotel partners into 309,600 soap bars (1.5 oz. per bar). The soap bars were boxed, palletized and placed on World Vision trucks for distribution to communities in need in more than 45 countries.
“Our team is pleased and proud to know that the Clean the World bars they helped produce are destined to save lives,” says Bob Stegman, vice president of manufacturing at Sysco Guest Supply.
Since Clean the World’s founding in 2009, Guest Supply has donated more than 35,000 lbs. of soap, bottled amenities, cleaning products, tissue paper and paper towels to Clean the World’s soap recycling efforts.
“We are blessed to have such generous and supportive partnerships,” says Shawn Seipler, co-founder and CEO at Clean the World. “We’re grateful for Guest Supply’s generosity, and we are humbled to hear of the excitement and passion its employees have for working with our soaps. When you realize that the work you do has meaning beyond a paycheck, it really makes life more rewarding, and we sincerely appreciate the efforts of each individual who helps us advance our mission to save lives with soap.”
Guest Supply’s commitment to Clean the World continues into the future. The company will press another 20,000 lbs. of soap on behalf of Clean the World in the next week.
